Scholars group picks Washington of LHS

LUMBERTON — The National Society of High School Scholars has selected Lumberton High School student Hydeia D. Washington for membership.

The society recognizes top scholars and invites only those students who have achieved academic excellence.

Washington is the daughter of Alicia Moody and Darryl Washington.

Educators group sets

forum with candidates

LUMBERTON — The Robeson Association of Educators will be holding a forum with school board candidates on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The forum, which is open to the public, will be held at the Workforce Development Building located on the campus of Robeson Community College at 5160 N. Fayetteville Road.

LHS names its top

certified employees

LUMBERTON — Lydia Locklear, Bertha McMillan, and Linda Trent have been selected as Lumberton High School’s certified employees of the month for March.

Locklear is the Media Technology coordinator, and McMillan is a bookkeeper. Each has worked at the school for two years.

Trent has been a bus driver at the school for nine years and is also a substitute teaching.
