PEMBROKE — Union Elementary will hold registration for kindergarten and pre-kindergarten students on March 28 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school

Children who will be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31 can be registered for kindergarten and children who will be 4 years old on or before Aug. 31 are eligible for pre-kindergarten.

Parents or guardians need to bring child’s certified birth certificate, Social Security card, immunization records and proof of 911 residence.

Sandhills honors lists

PINEHURST — Nine Robeson County students made either the president’s list and dean’s list at Sandhills Community College for the fall semester.

Brittany Jackson, Cheyanne Jacobs and Carrie Locklear made the president’s list, achieving a 4.0 grade-point average with 12 or more semester hours of college-level work.

Joshua Bryant, Marcus Dial, She’Erria Graham, David Parker, Jasmine Sanderson and Brandon Stone made the dean’s List, achieving a 3.5 or higher grade- point average with no grade below a C, and 12 or more semester hours of college-level work.

Peace dean’s list

RALEIGH — Brooke Burleson of Lumberton made the dean’s list at William Peace University for the fall semester.

For inclusion on the dean’s list, a student must complete at least six hours of course work and earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, with no grade lower than a B-minus.

She is the daughter of Dr. Rowell and Norma Burleson of Lumberton.
