I am in agreement 100%. We definitely need a qualified police force. However, that would mean that some will actually do some work. Also I don't think anything will be done about the drunks and drug dealers. It would probably mean a reduction in income for some people.

People are always telling me, we need new people on the council, but they keep getting voted back in. It really is disappointing.

Once again I find myself disappointed in the citizens of the town of Pembroke. Having lived in the area all my life, I have always tried to keep a positive attitude and hope that one day the town council of Pembroke would change. Unfortunately once again we have the same bodies in office. I truly don't understand. With the growth and changes of the Town and University you would think the same would happen. Just tell what have these men done to help this town or community? I truly believe Mr. Larry Brooks has a vision of what this town has to offer but after 25 plus years it is LONG overdue for you to step down and let someone else experience what you have. As for Allen Dial he is just a waste of skin. If you don't believe me just attend one the town hall meetings. It is sad and a joke. I have attended high school & college meetings with more positive energy and professionalism. It is long overdue for the citizens to step up and make a difference. We also need female representation on the town council and better yet a student from UNC-Pembroke. Citizens of Pembroke please challenge the city council for change and improvement in the town of Pembroke. Push the envelope and make them meet demands to clear the streets of drunks, drug dealers, add a jail cell to the town hall, qualified police force and beautification of the town(which we have a grant). We need to be proud of our town. As for me I am completely disappointed.
