Ella Stephanna Ervin Taylor, 88, of Lumberton, died Oct. 15, 2012, at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton, Dr. David Elks and Rev. Joe Bounds officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday at Maiden Cemetery in Maiden.

She was born in Catawba County on May 11, 1924, to the late Ed A. Ervin and the late Daisy McClendon Ervin. She formerly worked as a school teacher in the Green County School System.

Taylor is survived by her husband, George S. Taylor of the home; a daughter, Donna T. Hayworth and husband David of Charlotte; and a grandchild, Taylor S. Hayworth.

The visitation will follow the service on Thursday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc. at 809 E. Fifth St.
