To the Editor,
I would like to send out a special thank you to Ms. Buffy Hunt and to Mr. Corrie Patterson with Robeson County Emergency Medical Services.
On Sunday, July 29, my mother and I came in from church to find my brother on the floor of his bedroom. He was not responsive so I dialed 911 and the operator walked me through some steps until the paramedics arrived. Ms. Hunt and Mr. Patterson took charge of the situation, they were very kind and professional. I was a basket case and they calmed me by assuring me my brother was OK and they explained every process to perform. My brother is diabetic, he’s on dialysis and his sugar had dropped.
That was a scary moment, but I praise the Emergency Medical Services team because they have the necessary training for the situation that arose. I praise them for their words of comfort and for their reassurance. Thank Goodness we still have sincere caring people.
