To the Editor,

I would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your support of the 66th annual Robeson Regional Agricultural Fair. As always, you and your staff did a superb job with all the advertising through your fine newspaper. This is a great help in reaching people with the news of the upcoming fair each year.

Your assistance in the layout of our Premium Book is always done in the most professional manner. We are most appreciative of your staff and their expertise in seeing that this book is prepared with the care and professionalism that represents your company.

Thank you also for your daily visits to the fair and your coverage of the events that were taking place on the fairgrounds. This was certainly a great way to let people know what is available for their entertainment.

With your assistance we have been able to reach people with the news of the upcoming fair and the schedule of entertainment available. We have also been able to reach out to various groups within our region to offer free admittance to them. These groups include: special needs; senior adults; military; college students; and the collection of food for the Robeson County Church and Community Center. All of this would not have been possible without the sponsorship from various companies and organizations like yours.

We thank you for your interest in being a part of providing advertising for our annual fair. We look forward to continuing this relationship as we make plans for the 67th annual fair in 2013. We welcome any suggestions or comments concerning the fair as we move forward in our planning process.

On behalf of our broad, staff, volunteers and friends, we sincerely appreciate your help with our advertising for the fair.

Allen Faircloth

President

Robeson Regional Agricultural Fair

Mr. Faircloth,

I have a request; for future Fairs, could you please have designated smoking areas? I'm not against people wanting to smoke, that's their prerogative, but I don't think my 6 year old daughter should have to be subjected to someone's second-hand smoke while waiting in line to get on a ride. And I really didn't want to enjoy my barbecue sandwich with second-hand smoke, either.

It's not much to ask and, quite frankly, this issue should have already been addressed.

Thanks.
