PEMBROKE — A talent show featuring people from Cumberland, Robeson Bladen and Scotland counties will be held at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s Moore Hall Auditorium April 11. Contestants must sign up by midnight Saturday.
The show runs from 4 to 11 p.m.
The entry fee for contestants is $10. For groups of six or more, the entry fee is $50. First prize is $200, second prize is $75 and third prize is $25. Admission for the general public is $3 at the door.

Cultural center hosts game night this week
LUMBERTON — The African-American Cultural Center will host a game night Friday night from 7 to 11 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit a scholarship program for the Jabberwock 2009 Pageant of the Lumberton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Youth concert held at Prospect School
PEMBROKE — A Visionary Youth Concert will be held at Prospect School on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. It is free to the public.
The concert’s goal is to “aid the community to live a more artful life.”
