LUMBERTON — The Love Game, a competition for local couples based upon the game show “The Newlywed Game,” will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 11 at the center court of Biggs Park Mall.
First prize is a $200 mall gift certificate. Each couple will get a prize and a professional photographer will be available to take Valentine’s pictures. Each couple that takes a picture will get a voucher for a free photo print from Walgreens.

FAIRMONT — The seventh annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Fairmont Heritage Center.
There will be a re-creation of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, singing and refreshments. Dr. J. Gentile Everett will be the speaker. The public is invited.
LUMBERTON — A reception for an art exhibit called Art: The Essential Subject will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 at the Carolina Civic Center.
It features the works of art faculty from the Public Schools of Robeson County. The reception is free and open to the public.

PEMBROKE — A program and candlelight vigil will be held tonight at the University Center Annex at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke to honor Martin Luther King Jr.
The vigil will be held at 7 p.m. in the lawn of the annex and the program will be at 7:30 p.m. in the annex assembly room The speaker will be the Rev. Aaron Johnson. At 8:30 p.m., an event called A Party Fit for a King will be held in the same room.
