Foneva Stephens
LUMBERTON — Foneva Hardin Stephens, 91, of Lumberton, passed away Feb. 9, 2013, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, Pastor Jeff Broadwell officiating.
She was born in Robeson County on Sept. 23, 1921, to the late Hybert Hardin and the late Carnie Connor Hardin.
She previously worked in textiles as a quality control supervisor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Prinice Stephens; and two sons, Jimmy L. Stephens and William O. Stephens.
Stephens is survived by her son, Kenneth D. “Monk” Stephens and wife Pat of the home; two daughters, Brenda Pittman and husband Kenneth of Lumberton, and Betty S. Wilkerson and husband Terry of Seaford, Del.; a sister, Annis Pulley of Youngsville; two daughter-in-laws, Helen Stephens and Freida Stephens, both of Lumberton; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St. in Lumberton.
