This letter is concerning our grandson. Labrien Locklear Jabrien is 7 years old and just completed the first grade at Rex-Rennert School.

On March 21, six kids beat him up while an assistant teacher was talking on her cellular phone. When he went back inside the classroom he tried to tell the teacher what happened. She told him to sit down and be quiet. Labrien had to stay at school about two to three hours with dirt and grass in his hair, eyes, and underwear.

When he got home I tried calling the teacher and principal. So I call Mr. Johnny Hunt. A school official later called me and never once asked how my grandson was doing or what happened to him.

We took him to the hospital and he was diagnosed with chest wall contusions and abdominal contusions. He was bruised and swollen so bad he was given two shots of morphine. This happen on March 21.

Labrien was beat again at school on April 13 and diagnosed with a knee contusion. Again he was beat on April 21 and diagnosed with a leg contusion. Then on June 1, he was diagnosed with a forearm strain.

Tell me why a 7-year-old has to be treated like this and nothing was done about it. Being abused like this at school causes him to have nightmares. His doctor has him enrolled in counseling.

Labrien doesn’t trust anyone in the school system.

I hope and pray that no other children has to go through with what Labrien did. These abuses and nightmares have really hurt him mentally.
