Helen Hill
MAXTON — Helen Hayes Hill, 87, of Maxton, passed away Jan. 24, 2013, at Century Care of Laurinburg.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, the Rev. Daniel C. Hill Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Helen was born Nov. 5, 1925, in Robeson County. She was the daughter of the late Rufus Hayes and Winora McCormick Hayes.
She was a devoted homemaker and the loving wife to the late Daniel Conley Hill Sr. She was strong in her faith in the Lord and loved sharing her faith and encouraging her family to know Jesus. She also enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca Hill; and a sister, Mary Norman.
Hill is survived by her sons, the Rev. Daniel C. Hill Jr. of Creedmoor and Rufus Hugh Hill of Laurinburg; her daughter, Freida Greenfield of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday before the service at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
