James Wilton Lewis, 64, of 266 Circle Drive, Lumberton, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 10, 2012, at his home afte an extended illness.
James was born on Dec. 1, 1948, in Robeson County to the late Richard Stacy and Mazola Lewis of Lumberton.
In addition to his parents, Lewis leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 40 years, Myrtle Mae Lewis of the home; two daughters, Charlotte (Oscar) Mendoza and Darlene (Johnny) Hunt, both of Lumberton; a son, Steven (Rachelo) Lewis of the home; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary (Butch) Hunt of Rowland, Sherry (Jimmy) Brewington of Lumberton, Loretta Lewis of Fairmont, Sarah Raymond Walters of Lumberton; three brothers, Ricky (Bonnie) Lewis, Jewel (Chrissy) Lewis, both of Fairmont, and Reno Lewis of Lumberton; his two special friends, Robert ”Bobby” Anthony Chavis and Dexter ”Buck” Locklear; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the home at 266 Circle Drive in Lumberton.
