Marvin Lewis, 79, of 3201 Radford Lane, formerly of Bladenboro, died Sept. 13, 2012.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Ernest S. Lewis family cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Gennive Lewis; two sons, Gregory Lewis and Marvin L. Lewis; two daughters, Olivia Lewis and Cynthia Lewis; a brother, Sandy Lewis; three sisters, Rosa Jefferson, Mary Lewis and Marian Lewis; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church

Roy Pittman

Lumberton

Roy Pittman, 61, of Lumberton, died Sept. 20, 2012, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Floyd Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.

Pittman is survived by his wife, Diane Pittman of Lumberton; his mother, Dorothy Pittman of Lumberton; two daughters, Kim Tompkins and Tonya Beal, both of Lumberton; a brother, Jimmy Pittman of Whitehouse, Tenn; six sisters, Margie Smith of Oak Island, Betty Tyner of Lumberton, Deborah Connor of Proctorville, Susan Pittman of Lumberton, Shelby Wilcox of Oak Island and Sharon Edwards of Fayetteville.

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory.

Sylvene Powell

Sylvene Powell, 60, of 65 Jefferson Road, died Sept. 15, 2012, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Jonesville Baptist Church, the Revs. Martinia Spencer and Pamela Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Maranatha Gardens.

She is survived by two sons, Andre Powell of Maxton and Robert Powell of St. Pauls; a daughter, Jeannie Powell of Evergreen; four brothers, Willie Leon Powell of Charlotte, Rakeen Muhammad of Newark, N.J., Jackie Coleman of Lumberton, and Cedric Williams of Charlotte; five sisters, Patricia P. Seymour of Newark, Belinda Wade and Pamela Jackson, both of Fairmont, Lisa M. Powell of Hickory and Neicy Williams of Atlanta; and six grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Jonesville Baptist Church.

Josie McKeithan Carroll died Sept. 20, 2012, at Autumn Care of Fayetteville.

The memorial will be 7 p.m. Saturday at Abbottsburg Baptist Church. The burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday for family and close friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Coleman of Bladenboro; a stepson, Clyde McRay Carroll of Fayetteville; a grandson, Canon W. Hughes of Hampton, Va.; two sisters, Ann McKeithan Davis of Fayetteville and Kay McKeithan Thornton of Garner; and two brothers, D.F. McKeithan Jr. of Milwaukee and Eric McKeithan of Wilmington.

Jerry Porter Register, 77, of Elizabethtown, died Sept. 19, 2012.

The memorial will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Elizabethtown Cemetery, the Rev. Neil Smith officiating.

Register is survived by his wife, Catherine H. Register of the home; three sons, Jerold “Jay” Register, Christopher Heath Register and Erik Craig Register; a daughter, Lisa Register McKellar; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.
