Flu shots offered

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Urgent Care, which is located in the Southeastern Health Mall on the campus of Biggs Park Mall, will be offering walk-in flu shots Mondays through Fridays from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 2 to 6 p.m.

The Dr. A. J. Robinson Medical Clinic, at 800 Martin Luther King Dr., will offer flu shots every Tuesday from Oct. 9 to Nov. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The vaccine is $20. Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance is accepted.

Lodge sponsoring scholarship

LUMBERTON — The Golden Leaf Lodge 124 and Friendship Chapter No. 558 OES will sponsor an annual Fall Scholarship Banquet on Oct. 20 at 5 p.m.

The event, held at the African American Cultural Center at 123 W. Third St., is open to the public and will feature Rep. Larry Kissell, who is running for re-election in congressional District 8. Dinner will be served. There is a $20 charge.

Woods to hold public forum

RED SPRINGS — Robeson County Commissioner Noah Woods, who represents District 4, will hold a public forum on Tuesday. The forum will begin at 7 p.m. at the Red Springs Community Building at 122 Cross St.

The purpose of the forum is to receive comments and answer questions from constituents regarding issues of interest to residents of Robeson County.
