LUMBERTON — A 21-year-old Lumber Bridge man was arrested Monday and charged with sexually assaulting a teenager, according to sheriff’s Lt. Kathy Torre.
Jonathon Anderson, of the 100 block of Anderson Drive, was charged with three counts of first-degree statutory rape where the defendant is 6 years or older and felony crime against nature, according to Torre.
Torre said the investigation began in September after the Department of Social Services notified the Sheriff’s Office of the incident. Detective Duron Burney conducted the investigation.
Anderson’ bond was set at $76,000. His first court appearance is scheduled for today.
