LUMBERTON — A 48-year-old Lumberton man was arrested on Friday and charged with a robbery that occurred earlier that day.

Lowery is accused of robbing the Super Dollar, located at 302 N. Pine St., of cash and some pain medicine at about 9:30 a.m. According to police, Lowery handed a note to a store employee indicating that he had a weapon, but never showed a weapon. After the robbery, police were given a description of the robber, began a search and quickly found Lowery hiding in some bushes.

When Lowery was arrested, he was in possession of the stolen property, according to Parker. No weapon was found.
