To the Editor,

Round and round this world we go

Forming truths from what we know

It could never be foretold

what will happen tomorrow?

Things we see right now will change

our lives will never be the same.

Facing death of a loved one is never easy. When murder occurs, anger, pain and grief are compounded by the crushing realization that another person intentionally took the life of someone we loved.

Now you’re not just grieving over the death of a loved one but the life stolen by murder. It’s an endless feeling of grief and hopelessness. That’s when you realize you are a living victim; you are a survivor of homicide.

I am a living victim. I am a survivor of a homicide and I am one of the voices for Chad Allen Arnette and these are the words he cannot say, “I am a victim of murder, and I am not a survivor of homicide.” I was murdered on February 15th, 2007. I was sentenced to death by the hand of my murderer’s. He did not have to take my life, he made a choice to kill me and he did. Now my family and friends are sentenced to a life without me and the pain of endless grief.

Please support Victim’s Rights! We can make a difference.
