Parade watchers line West Third Street in Pembroke as floats, marching bands and Santa pass by into the sunset Thursday afternoon.
Two more towns brighten the holiday season with parades on Saturday.
The Maxton Christmas Parade kicks off at 10 a.m. from the corner of Austin Street and Martin Luther King Drive. It then makes its way to Patterson Street where it turns north and ends at Central Street.
The Red Springs Christmas Parade begins at 3 p.m. at the high school and proceeds to Second Avenue, then to N.C. 211 until it reaches First Baptist Church. | Staff photos by Steve Humbert
