LUMBERTON — The Robeson County History Museum will be featuring a traveling Smithsonian exhibit called Journey Stories for the next six weeks.

The exhibit, which will open on Sunday with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m., will focus on how our ancestors came to America, with a specific look at how the advancements in transportation affected people. It is part of the North Carolina Humanities Council’s Museum on Main Street program.

Robeson County is the last stop for the exhibit, which has been featured at five other sites in North Carolin. It will be open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until noon and Sundays from 2 until 4 p.m.

Special arrangements can be made for groups to visit at other times or during the evening.

For information or to make appointments, call Blake Tyner, the museum curator, at 910-827-5504.
