RED SPRINGS — A Red Springs teenager has been arrested and charged with the shooting death of a Laurinburg man on Wednesday night, according to Red Springs Police Chief Ronnie Patterson.
Pierre Javon Hunt, 17, of East Seventh Avenue, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 27-year-old Stephen Wilson II, whose address was not available, but who lived in Laurinburg. Hunt was arrested today at 1 a.m. and is being held at the Robeson County jail without bond.
Wilson’s body has been sent for an autopsy, but investigators know he was shot more than once, Patterson said. Officers “found one wound in his back left shoulder,” he said.
Nearby residents called 911 after hearing gunshots near the intersection of Williams and Roberts streets at about 11:11 p.m. Wednesday, Patterson said. Officers arrived to find Wilson “lying face down on the side of the road,” he said.
Patterson said the investigation is ongoing, but believes Wilson was shot after “some type of altercation occurred.” Investigators were led to Hunt after witnesses told them they saw him fleeing from the intersection, Patterson said.
Hunt has previously faced charges of possession of a stolen firearm, assault by pointing a gun, possession of stolen goods and felony conspiracy. Wilson had been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, possession with intent to sell schedule II drugs and possession with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine.
Wilson is the fifth person to be shot and killed in Robeson County since Saturday.

ps, I may be a minority, but I know the truth and not afraid to say it. If more people would pull their heads out of the sand (and stop just whispering this at dinner) we could address this together....
We are getting tired of this. And "we" doesn't have anything to do with ones color/race either.
You would think we live in Chicago.
