LAURINBURG — A Red Springs teenager who was wanted on drug and weapons charges is being held without bond in the Scotland County jail following an arrest in Laurinburg, according to Red Springs Police Chief Ronnie Patterson.

James Franklin Quick, 19, is charged with two counts of discharging a firearm into occupied property, possession of a firearm by a felon, and two counts of misdemeanor drug charges, Patterson said. Quick is being held without bond because of a felony probation violation, Patterson said.

According to Patterson, Quick was arrested “without incident” at 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday by Laurinburg police while at a housing complex on Gamble Street.

Quick had fired shots into a home in the Red Springs Mill Village and West Gate Terrace areas, Patterson said. No one was injured in either incident.

Obama's new gun laws would have prevented this from occuring. After he provided a background check, he would not be allowed to purchase that gun. Hurry and pass those new laws obama, safety is important.
