Two Local Girl Scouts Made High Acheivers Club

LUMBERTON — Two local Girl Scouts have earned status in the organization’s High Acheivers Club for each selling more than 5,000 boxes of Girl Scouts cookies during the last five years.

Bella Grace Gerald and Jayla Graham are both members Troop No. 17 and attend Carroll Middle School. Graham is credited with selling 6,284 boxes of cookies during the last five years, and Gerald is credited with selling 5,525 boxes. Graham sold 1,716 boses this year, and Gerald sold 1,004 boxes.

Gerald is the daughter of Robert and Brenda Gerald of Lumberton, and Graham is the daughter of Warren and Antoinette Graham, also of Lumberton.

This year North Carolina Coastal Pines sold 3.4 million boxes of cookies, with more than 14,000 Girl Scouts participating in the program. The average number of boxes sold by a single Scout is 216 boxes for a year.
