Jenkins is the daughter of Eva Strickland, who works at Quickie Manufacturing, and the granddaughter of Lorene McIver Strickland, both of Lumberton. Jenkins is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
The Mrs. United States pageant will be held in Las Vegas in July and Jenkins will be there to represent the Peach State.
