RALEIGH — The N.C. Museum of History in Raleigh will hold Tri-Racial Movie-going, a presentation examining Jim Crow-era movie-going in Robeson County on Wednesday at 12:10 p.m.

The presentation will be based on using newspaper records, photographs and oral historie.

Christopher McKenna, a senior fellow in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will focus on whites, American Indians and blacks who attended movies in Robeson County from 1896 to 1940.

PEMBROKE — The University of North Carolina at Pembroke will allow any person to eat free in the Dining Hall until Friday with the donation of five canned foods.

The Stop Hunger Food Drive is intended to provide support for local communities and raise awareness about the problem of hunger.
