Johnny Locklear

PEMBROKE — Johnny Allen Locklear, 84, of Pembroke, was born Nov. 28, 1928, and departed this life on Jan. 8, 2013.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Bear Swamp Baptist Church, the Rev. Mike Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear family cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lou Kitty Bullard Locklear.

Locklear is survived by a son, Lofty Locklear III of Pembroke; three daughters, Joyce Pierce and husband Sam of Greensboro, Barbara Bullard and husband Randolph of Pembroke, and Retha Faye Locklear of the home; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.

The visitation will be one hour before the services at the church.
