GOP Women to meet today

LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Republican Women’s Club will hold its installation meeting on today at Adelio’s Restaurant at 6:45 p.m.

Dena Barnes, who was awarded the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women Honorary Life Membership in 2009, will be the installation speaker along with Eric West, attorney-at-law.

Sale to benefit St. Pauls teen

ST. PAULS — Jennifer Espey Ellinger, an Avon representative, is holding a benefit sale for Christopher Jakobi Rogers, 13, who was disabled in an ATV accident last year.

Proceeds will help the family buy medical equipment. A donation of $20 will also buy a teddy bear to be given to a child at Southeastern Regional Medical Center or Duke Children’s Hospital.

Black Caucus meet Saturday

LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Black Caucus will meet Saturday at the Weed and Seed Building on Martin Luther King Drive.

The meeting begins at 11 a.m.
