Aging group

sets workshop

LUMBERTON — The Lumber River Council of Governments’ Area Agency on Aging will host an AARP workshop on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The workshop, designed to help women between the ages of 40 and 70 plan for their futures, will be held in conference room No. 30 at the Lumber River Council of Government at 30 CJ Walker Road at COMtech in Pembroke.

The event will provide seating and lunch for up to 50 people. Registration is required by calling 910-618-5533.

Job fair

rescheduled

FAIRMONT — A job fair that was scheduled for today in the Fairmont town hall has been rescheduled for Nov. 1.

The event, which is being sponsored by the town and MegaForce, will be from 10 a.m. to noon. During that time Megaforce will take applications from job seekers and answer any questions.
