Thomas Deese, 71, of 390 Revels Road, died Dec. 26, 2012, at 14165 Old Stage Road in Gibson.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Little Mission Holiness Church, the Revs. Ellis Cooper, Wayne Locklear and Earl Craven officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mission Holiness Church.

He is survived by his eight sons, Larry Locklear, Terry Deese, Thomas Lee Deese, John D. Deese, Ronnie Deese, all of Maxton, Ray Deese of Ohio, Robert Deese of South Carolina, and Michael Deese of Pembroke; six daughters, Tina Locklear of Maxton, Doris Deese of Gibson, Emma Deese of Laurinburg, Lucy Deese of Shannon, SteryJen Gonzalez of Selma, and Theresa Deese of Pembroke; four brothers, Rodney Deese, Lawerence Deese, Roy Lee Deese and Jerry Ray Deese, all of Maxton; a sister, Helen Locklear of Maxton; 42 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel.
