FAIRMONT — Two men have been arrested and charged with a break-in Rowland, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Daquan Smith, 18, of 586 Bailey Road in Fairmont, and Alexis Smith, 28, of 210 Contempora Drive in Lumberton, were detained during a traffic stop in Fairmont. During a search of the vehicle, a 42-inch flat-screen television and a DVD player that had been stolen from Ashley Lowery, of Benson Chapel Road in Rowland, were found, according to a sheriff’s report.
Daquan Smith was charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny, and conspiracy. He is being held in the Robeson County jail under a $8,000 secured bond. According to the report, Daquan Smith had outstanding warrants for misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon and violating probation.
Alexis Smith was charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny, conspiracy, and giving fictitious information to an officer. He faces unrelated charges of misdemeanor assault on a female and communicating threats.
