TAR HEEL — Authorities are looking for information that will lead them to the person who had a crop of marijuana growing near the Bladen County-Robeson County line.
About 175 plants were seized and burned on Friday after an anonymous tip led narcotics agents from the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office to a field in Tar Heel, according to sheriff’s investigator Richard Allen.
“The street value on these plants would be right around $210,000 … depending on the type of plant and how well they grow,” Allen said.
Anyone with information can call the Narcotics Unit at 910-862-6777. Callers can remain anonymous.
