ST. PAULS — Authorities are looking for a 34-year-old St. Pauls man who forced his way into a Howell Road home on Sunday and robbed four people, including two children, at gunpoint, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Leon Antonio McDuffie, of 247 Marion Road, was with two teenagers who entered the home at about 9:30 p.m., according to sheriff’s Maj. Howard Branch. Deavonte Maurice Willis, 17, of 132 Maple Leaf Drive, and Kadeem Deon Inman, 18, of 468 Corner Oak Drive, were arrested on Monday and were each charged with armed robbery, first-degree burglary and conspiracy and given a $25,000 bond.
A woman who lives at the home answered a knock at the door and found one of the men standing there with a firearm, Branch said.
“The victim was waiting for a friend, gets a knock on the door and she thinks it’s the friend but it’s not, it’s these guys,” Branch said.
Branch said McDuffie, Willis and Inman told a man, a woman and two children who were at the home to get down on the floor while they searched the home and took two televisions and a video game system. The three men then fled from the home in a black Ford Crown Victoria, Branch said.
The car was later stopped, and Willis and Inman were arrested, Branch said.
McDuffie is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds, according to records at the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office. He has the name “Lee” and a cross tattooed on his left forearm.
McDuffie has previously faced charges of common law robbery, possession of schedule II drugs, manufacture of schedule II drugs, trespassing and possession of a weapon of mass destruction.
