mrlumbee3... What language is "eh-weh-nah-sad"?

(and please don't say Lumbee)

For you that don't know Lumbee is a name adopted in 1953 to classify who we are today. We are Tuscarora. The Tuscarora now call the six nations their home in New York state/Canada. The language is Iroquoian which is the umbrella of tribes which we belong. Our reservation still exist in Bertie County, NC. We "the Lumbee people" fled to present day Robeson County with other Native Americans during the battle of Fort Neoheroka.

I guess you think we don't know our history or our former language. They didn't take everything. This Lum knows!

Sooooo...the "modern" lumbees fled their tuscarora brethren who lost hundreds of lives during a 3 week seige in 1713...hmmm...wait...how does this relate to the current story?

Well mrlumbee since lumbee is your peoples adopted name why not tell us where the word lumbee originated. Chances are you dont know so i will help you out. In the 1890's a Scottish poet was writing a poem about the Scottish settlers in the area. In that poem the name Lumber River would not rhyme so he dropped the R and added an E and there it is the word Lumbee was hatched. So when you cite white man how bout thanking him for giving you your name

swampghost, what book did you read? That's the problem you where reading! If you did read it, it was wrong! How you gonna question someone about a subject they live, when you have no clue about the history. There you go, trying to turn it into "his-story." Do you know what we called the river before your people named it?

orighawk, I did take a wrong turn on this subject. freightweigh wanted to make a comment like this Lum didn't know his history.

This is the future of America, get use to it. Our prison's are a joke. Prison ain't nothing to these guys. They get cable tv, internet, schooling, 3 meals a day, drugs, medical attention, nurses, staff, and other inmates to give them sex. We tax payers are the fools. Most think out of sight out of mind. Gangs run these prisons. Did you know prison's hire criminals to watch over criminals? Yes, you can have felony record and get a job with NC Department of Corrections. Look it up. Prison system is a business. People get paid good money to hide what the tax payers have no clue of. Just as bad as Mexican's working border patrol along the Mexican border. Why do you think we have illegal Mexican's everywhere? Again billions of dollars to look like they are doing something. A business. Some smart guy said, "hey I know how I can be a billionaire." "Let's tell the government to pay us to stop Mexican's from walkin into America." "We can get Mexican's to do the security cheaper." Brilliant!!! Less labor cost, more profit. I know I got off track! LOL. It's just so fustrating!

What is common in all these mug shot's? White Tee's (other than being black). You know why they wear them? When they get arrested they don't have to buy them in canteen. You wear it in, you can wear it inside. White tee's are allowed in all jails and prison's. You can't have family send them to you any more. You have to buy it from the system. Again a profit, a business strategy. The smart inmates complain and they will give them tee shirts, under wear, and cosmetics for free. They will bill the tax payers.

Killing someone and going to prison is a badge of honor in prison life. Kill a cop and your worshipped. My point is, putting them in prison is what they want. They were begging to go back, so they shot another. Go back into prison with higher ranking. Feel like a CEO. Listen to today's rap music. These folks live there lives from these lyrics. Every male prison has 90 percent wanna be rappers. The other 10% say, there too old or ain't their cup of tea.

How we put a stop to it? Cut the prison budget. You don't have to let people out early. Quit giving them the luxuries. Bring back public hanging's. You hang a murder, rapeist, etc, every thurday and watch the crime rate drop over night.

Cha, Cha, Chia...funny stuff. I didn't say so don't stone me.

most people in the county dont know that steven moore is one of the highest ranking blood members on the east coast and definitely one of the highest in north carolina. so is it surprising NO send him back to prison to, where they should have never let him out before.

No you won't Ross. Cause a white man didn't kill a black man. I love the NAACP. National Association for Advancement of Colored People. How many Asians, Mexicans, Native Americans, and other people of color do you see? None! Revise the acronym to NAABP. Then I want white americans to get one NAAWP. The white race is on the decline, they need some advancement. Example, Obama (mother white, father black) labeled as black. What happened to the white? Eliminated.

Reader's don't get mad at me, I'm exercising the First Amendment right that the "white man" said I could use. Plus the "white man" taught me how to type. I will be waiting for all your comments. Don't hold back, release your racial tention, lol.

Eh-weh-nah-sad? (Where did you come from)

Happy 236th
Thousands of people were dazzled by the fireworks display at the annual Lumberton Family Fourth celebration at the Lumberton High School football stadium on Tuesday. Many watched the display from parking lots and sidewalks around town and from their own front yards. Before the show, attendees were treated to a performance by the Carolina Breakers, and a stunt by the Army Rangers, who parachuted onto the football field.

Do you think the tax structure in North Carolina should be reformed to reduce income taxes in exchange for higher sales tax and more taxes on services?
