MAXTON — A 34-year-old Maxton man has been arrested and charged with raping a 15-year-old girl, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Tommy Ray Bryant, of 131 Rose Road, was charged on Wednesday with three counts of statutory rape or sex offense and two counts of felonious indecent liberties with a child, according to sheriff’s Lt. Kathy Torre.
According to Torre, Bryant assaulted the 15-year-old girl several times. Torre said the victim and the accused are not related.
Bryant was placed in the Robeson County jail under a $150,000 bond.
