ROWLAND — A Pembroke man and Lumberton teenager have been arrested and charged in the burglary of a Rowland home, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Marcus Grant Locklear, 25, of 202 Jones Road in Pembroke, and Shon Jonathan Topper, 19, of 1400 Huggins Road in Lumberton, were each charged with first-degree burglary and felony conspiracy in the Tuesday morning burglary of the home at 1852 Cabinet Shop Road in Rowland, according to sheriff’s Capt. Anthony Thompson. Topper is currently free on a $5,000 secured bond; Locklear is being held in the Robeson County jail under a $20,000 secured bond.
According to the report by sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Epps, investigators responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle at the home and arrived to find Topper and Grant sitting in a silver Toyota Corolla. A search found items belonging to Angela Curry beneath an open window, according to the report. Curry was asleep inside the home.
Locklear and Topper told investigators that they had dropped another man off at the home and he had burglarized the home, according to the report.
