RED SPRINGS — A Red Springs man has been arrested and charged with breaking into and taking items from a storage building, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Bobby Dean Locklear, 34, of 116 Charlotte Road in Red Springs, is charged with conspiracy to break and enter, breaking and entering, and larceny in the theft of construction equipment from a storage building belonging to Trent Locklear, of N.C. 710.
Locklear broke the lock on the building at 381 Clifford Road and took a $200 impact wrench, a $1,000 electric welder, a $1,000 generator, 20 electric drills valued at $1,500, welding equipment valued at $250 and copper valued at $1,000, according to the report.
Locklear is being held at the Robeson County jail under a $5,000 secured bond.
