City man killed in single-vehicle wreck
LUMBERTON — A 31-year-old Lumberton man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Friday morning. According to Trooper M.J. Miles of the state Highway Patrol, Timothy Earl Jacobs, of 2427 Pittman Road, was driving at 75 mph — 20 mph over the speed limit — and was not wearing a seat belt when the deadly accident happened.
