LUMBERTON — Two Robeson County men have been charged with drug trafficking in unrelated cases after searches of their property, according to Sheriff Kenneth Sealey.
Sealey said 26-year-old Jonathan Corey Bell, of 121 Bowden Lane, was charged with possession of firearms by a felon, trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle and dwelling with controlled substances, trafficking opium and heroin, possession with intent to sell a scheduled II drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bell was released from the Robeson County jail under a $510,500 secured bond.
After the Sheriff’s Office received numerous complaints about drug activity, narcotics officers searched Bell’s residence on June 8. Sealey said investigators found 170 grams of cocaine, 28 grams or more of opium, 64 grams of oxycodone and 225 grams of marijuana in his home and vehicle.
Sealey said lawmen also found a shotgun and a semi-automatic pistol.
In an unrelated case, a 32-year-old Maxton man was arrested and charged when lawmen found more than 3 pounds of marijuana on his property.
Jon Lennon Locklear, of 918 Elrod Road, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released from the Robeson County jail under a $75,000 secured bond.
Sealey said lawmen found the marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside a building next to Locklear’s home on June 8.
