City residents warned after rabid raccoon found
LUMBERTON — Police are warning city residents to be on alert for strange-acting animals after a raccoon found in the Tanglewood area tested positive for rabies. The raccoon was found on the 2500 block of McMillian Ave. on Tuesday, according to a statement by Tommy Barnes, deputy police chief. LUMBERTON — A 29-year-old Lumberton man has been charged with rape in the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
