LUMBERTON — Coble D. Wilson III, a Lumberton native, was recently appointed the Outer Guard for the Sudan Shriners. Outer Guard is a ceremonial title given to one of the appointed officers of a Shrine Temple. The position progresses over 10 years, eventually becoming the Potentate. The North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association just held its annual Green & Growin’ Show in mid-January. The event was held in Greensboro at the coliseum and it was packed.
