LUMBERTON — June Nygaard, chapter chaplain and district VII director, presented a program about the War of 1812 to the Col. Thomas Robeson Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, at its November meeting. This war is being commemorated across the country during its 200th anniversary.

Sealey Jerry and Christine Sealey celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 5 with a celebration hosted by their family at Love Grove Baptist Church in Tar Heel. The couple have two children, Debbie DuBuke and husband Jimmy of Waynesboro, Va., and Thomas Sealey of Lumberton. They have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
