PEMBROKE — Girl Scouts of Robeson County will hold a Girl Scout Fun Day celebrating the “Year of the Girl” on Aug. 25 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Pembroke Recreational Facility.
There will be activities, games, entertainment and exhibit booths, as well as information on how to become a Girl Scout or Girl Scout volunteer.

Motorcycle run: The “Spirit Riders,” will hold a motorcycle back-to-school run to benefit Union Elementary School today. The previous run, scheduled for Aug. 5 was rained out.
Registration will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. and the riders will leave at 2:30 p.m. from the C&P Mini Mart in Pembroke.
The cost is $10 per rider or $15 per couple.
