LUMBERTON — Community members are hoping to raise more than $30,000 during a two-part charitable event on Friday, that would be put toward paying for a Lumberton High School student’s medical bills.From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. residents are invited to attend a $10 plate sale happening at Lumberton High School and being organized by Wade Hall, pastor for Elizabethtown Church of God, in Elizabethtown. At 7:30 p.m., attendees will then be given the opportunity to watch some matches being put on by Positive Outreach Wrestling, at $10 a seat in the Lumberton High School gymnasium. As with the plate sale, all proceeds will be donated to the Scott family.
