The Atlantic Coast Conference released its preseason all-league football team on Wednesday, with N.C. State leading the way for in-state schools.
Along with Florida State, the favorite to win the conference title this season, and Virginia Tech, the Wolfpack had three players named to the all-league squad.
Entering the season with a slew of returners and, perhaps, Wolfpack coach Dave Doeren’s best roster, N.C. State is a popular sleeper pick among media members this year.
All-purpose back Jaylen Samuels, defensive end Bradley Chubb and punter A.J. Cole III represented the Wolfpack on the all-conference list, with Duke and North Carolina joining Syracuse as the only teams without a selection.
Wake Forest tight end Cam Serigne represented the Demon Deacons on the list, with former Pine Forest standout Harold Landry, who is currently a defensive end at Boston College, representing the Eagles.
Despite being picked to finish second behind Florida State in the Atlantic Division, Clemson led all schools with five selections. Miami, the favorite to win the Coastal, had four players named to the list.
