Haskins’ win Pinecrest Shootout
John and Joel Haskins earned a three-stroke victory over Tim Moore and Dwayne Emanuel in the championship flight of the Pinecrest Senior Shootout on Thursday.
John Lahey and Al Wall won the first flight, with Hoyt Pierce and J.D. Revels securing a second-place finish.
Revels and Wall were the closest-to-the-pin winners.
There will be a special Deercroft Senior Shootout on Monday in Wagram. The two-man captain’s choice event is open to anyone 55 and older. Teams will tee off at 8:30 a.m. and will be flighted after play with food and prizes available. Call 910-369-3107 for information.
Jacobs, Locklear win Fairmont Shootout
Willie Jacobs and Joe Locklear defeated Phil Bradford and Rick Rogers in a scorecard playoff to win the championship flight of the Fairmont Senior Shootout on Tuesday.
Bobbie Benton and Mike Sellers won the first flight over Hoyt Pierce and Ray Clark, with Jim Rogers and Greg Harrison edging out Ray Locklear and Richard Moore to take the second flight.
Emanuel, Bullock and Waddell were the closest-to-the-pin winners. The next Fairmont Senior Shootout will be Tuesday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
Fairmont’s week in review
Jasper Jackson, Wil Jones, John Barnes, Ken Spangler and Aaron Ostrander won the Old hackers League.
Bethel Hill Baptist Church will have a benefit tournament on Friday with tee times beginning at 9 a.m .This will be a captain’s choice format with an entry fee of $60 per player and $240 per team.
