GREENSBORO — While a number of Robeson County athletes have made college football rosters, most of them aren’t seeing much playing time so far this season.

That’s not true for Lumberton alumnus Demetri Sheridan, a sophomore linebacker with the Division III Guilford College Quakers. He played and recorded a tackle during last week’s 77-13 rout of Greensboro College.

The Quakers travel to Fayetteville today to face the Monarchs of Methodist University.

Sheridan isn’t the only Robeson County product on the Guilford roster. Quaker freshman offensive lineman Austin Flick played high school football with the Golden Tornadoes of Fairmont.
