PEMBROKE — The eight-time Tony Award winning Broadway musical “Spring Awakening” will play at the Givens Performing Arts Center at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke at 8 p.m. on Monday.
Based on the 1891 Frank Wedekind play, the landmark musical is a combination of sexuality, morality and rock and roll set against the backdrop of a repressive late 19th century Germany.
