This letter is written in memory of Joshua Speights. I became a victim of violence in 2008.
Maybe you have lost a loved one, either killed in cold blood or in an accident that was someone else’s fault! Anyone that takes a life leaves behind so many living victims. I often wonder if they even realize how hard it is for the ones left behind to go on!
So as we start this new 2009, I hope and pray that people stop and think before they act. Because their actions will change the lives of so many including their own.
I hope this letter will prevent another family from having to suffer the way mine is! So I hope and pray for those of us left that we come out on the other side of this loss and pain — and that we find the justice our loved ones deserve in 2009.
