Youth Triathlon set for Aug. 27

LUMBERTON — The Tri-Warriors Youth Triathlon will be held Aug. 27 at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

The event is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 15, and is limited to the first 300 registrants. The entry fee is $25 in July and $30 in August. To register, visit www.sportoften.com/events/eventDetails.cfm?pEventId=6045.

Registration open for summer camp

PEMBROKE — Registration is open for the Givens Performing Arts Center’s summer camp, which will be held Aug. 1 through Aug. 5.

Children ages 7 through 18 will get to work with professional directors from Missoula Children’s Theatre. Students will be instructed through a professional production of “The Jungle Book.”

End of Summer concert on July 28

LUMBERTON — The End of Summer Concert in the Park will be held on July 28 at the VFW/Crystal Road entrance of Luther Britt Park.

The show, which will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., will feature The Imitations. Admission is free.
