LUMBERTON — The Tri-Warriors Youth Triathlon will be held Aug. 27 at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

LUMBERTON — The second annual Celebrate Lumber River Day will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at Lumber River State Park.
There will be canoe and boat rides, display booths, exhibits, dancers, a tractor parade, dulcimer lessons, artists, horseshoes, wet T-shirt races for kids, fishing contests for kids, face-painting, prizes and giveaways. The Lumbee Ambassadors will be at the event as well.
