FAIRMONT — A 9/11 anniversary tribute parade will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 10 in Fairmont.
It will honor all of Robeson County first responders, law enforcement and 9/11 victims. At 11 a.m., there will be entertainment in Community Park.

WHITEVILLE — Ninth- and tenth-grade students from Columbus, Bladen and Robeson counties can register for the Southeastern Community College Summer Science Enrichment Camp by Tuesday.
The camp will be held July 25 to July 29. The free camp concentrates on invasive species in the environment. Students will perform lab activities, and field activities like identification, collection, survey, GPS mapping and control of invasive plants on the SCC Nature Trail.

The center has seen an increase in the amount of requests for food boxes, and needs dry beans, cereal, rice, pastas, canned meat, fruit and juice.
